Positions in the State Department of Legislative Reference
and in the Department of Fiscal Services are governed by TITLE 2
OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT Article [40 of the Code].
Article 73B - Pensions

(14) A person appointed or elected on or after
January 1, 1971 may participate in the pension plan provided in
resolution of the General Assembly Compensation Commission [under
Article 40 of the Code].
Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes
204.
(a) For purposes of this article, Article 56, § 137,
Article 62A, and § 9-119(D) OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT Article [88D,
§ 23A], the applicable rate of interest per month or fraction of
a month shall be as follows:
(1) For the 6 months beginning July 1, 1982,
one-twelfth of the adjusted annual rate of interest established
by the Secretary of the Treasury pursuant to § 6621 of the
Internal Revenue Code of 1954, and in effect on July 1, 1982.
(2) For all months beginning January 1, 1983,
one-twelfth of the adjusted annual rate of interest established
by the Secretary of the Treasury pursuant to § 6621 of the
Internal Revenue Code of 1954, and in effect on each respective
January 1 for the succeeding 12 months.
Article 88B - State Police
14.
(a) The affairs and operations of the Department shall be
supervised and directed by a Superintendent. The Superintendent
shall report to the Secretary of Public Safety and Correctional
Services. However, nothing [herein or] IN THIS SECTION, in
Article 41 of [this] THE Code, OR IN TITLE 8 OF THE STATE
GOVERNMENT ARTICLE shall be construed to prevent the
Superintendent from reporting directly to the Governor with
respect to any matters which, in the Superintendent's judgment,
should be brought to the immediate attention of the Governor as
Chief Executive of the State.
Article 95 - Treasurer

(a) The Treasurer shall provide self-insurance for:
