repealed, and the limitations set forth in these sections shall
be the only restrictions on the political activities of such
employees, excepting, however, the provisions of Article 64A, §
9G, Article 33, § 2-6, and guidelines promulgated in accordance
with [the provisions of] § 2-1207(C) OR § 2-1307(C) OF THE STATE
GOVERNMENT Article [40, §§ 52(c) and 59(d)(3) of the Annotated
Code of Maryland].
Article 40A - Maryland Public Ethics Law
2-101.
This article shall be administered and implemented by the
following three ethics agencies:
(1) The Joint Committee on Legislative Ethics,
[established pursuant to Article 40, § 89,] acting as an advisory
body as to the application of the provisions of Title 3 of this
article to members of the General Assembly, within the
limitations and procedures prescribed by this article.

(1) (2) The House of Delegates or the Senate, after
receiving the report, may establish by resolution an
investigating committee [pursuant to §§ 72 through 87 of Article
40 of the Annotated Code] UNDER TITLE 2, SUBTITLE 16 OF THE STATE
GOVERNMENT ARTICLE.

(e) In addition to loans for rehabilitation to families of
limited income made from the fund, the Department may make grants
for rehabilitation to families of limited income, and loans for
rehabilitation to families of limited income or to sponsors, with
funds from any other authorized sources. These sources may
include federal programs of assistance for rehabilitation, which
the Department shall utilize to the maximum extent consistent
with the purposes of this section, and in which the Department is
authorized to do all things necessary to qualify for
participation. [These sources may also include the allocation to
the Department, for low-cost housing loans, of part of the
proceeds of premium savings bonds issued under § 24 of Article
88D.] The terms and conditions of loans and grants made pursuant
to this paragraph shall be in accord with the provisions of the
legislation or other authority by which the funds are made
available to the Department.
