(House Bill 1305)

AN ACT concerning

Carroll County - Board of License Commissioners

FOR the purpose of altering certain provisions of law relating to
the salaries of the Carroll County Board of License
Commissioners to permit the Carroll County Commissioners to
set the salaries.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

Section 150(a) and 155(h)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

150.

(a) In Carroll County, the Board of County Commissioners
shall appoint three persons, designating one of them as chairman,
who shall constitute the board of license commissioners for said
county; the first member of [said] THE Board to be appointed for
one, two and three year terms, respectively and their successors
thereafter for terms of three years each. [Said] THE Board shall
meet at least once a month [and each member shall receive as the
sole compensation for the performance of his duties the sum of
seven hundred dollars ($700.00) per annum, except that the
chairman shall receive the sum of eight hundred dollars ($800.00)
per annum].

(h) In Carroll County, the annual salaries for the members
of the [board of license commissioners are:

(1)  Chairman - $1,000; and

(2)  Other members - $900.] BOARD OF LICENSE
COMMISSIONERS ARE SET BY THE CARROLL COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to
Article III, § 35, of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may
not be construed to extend or apply to the salary or compensation
