of the members of the Board of License Commissioners in office on
the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act
concerning the salary or compensation of the members of the
Board of License Commissioners shall take effect at the beginning
of the next following term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

AN ACT concerning

Anne Arundel County - Alcoholic Beverages Licenses Restrictions

FOR the purpose of providing in Anne Arundel County that certain
Class H motel-restaurant complex, hotel-restaurant complex,
beer, wine and liquor license (on-sale) alcoholic beverages
licenses are excepted from certain distance location
restrictions; excluding certain Class H alcoholic beverages
licensees in Anne Arundel County from obtaining certain
special dancing licenses; and providing that a certain
definition applies when a certain change of classes of
alcoholic beverages licenses is made.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

46.

(a) In Anne Arundel County a new license may not be granted
to sell alcoholic beverages in any building located within 1,000
feet in a straight line from entry to entry from a church or
school, but the license of any person now holding a license for
any building located within such distance of the grounds of a
church or school may be renewed or extended for the same
building.
