HARRY HUGHES, Governor

1269

change from former Art. 96 1/2, § 54 and the second
through seventh sentences of § 56.

Subsection (c)(2) of this section is new language
added to conform to practice. The standard language
indicates that reimbursement is subject to budgetary
limitations. The Standard State Travel Regulations
are adopted by the Department of Personnel with the
approval of the Board of Public Works.

9-924. LEGAL ADVISER.

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL IS THE LEGAL ADVISER TO THE VETERANS'
HOME COMMISSION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section formerly appeared as Art. 96
1/2, § 58.

The only changes are in style.

9-925. MISCELLANEOUS DUTIES.

(A)  ANNUAL REPORT.

(1)  THE VETERANS' HOME COMMISSION SHALL SUBMIT AN
ANNUAL REPORT:

(I)  TO THE GOVERNOR; AND

(II)   SUBJECT TO § 2-1312 OF THIS ARTICLE, TO
THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY.

(2)  THE ANNUAL REPORT SHALL:

(I)  DESCRIBE THE ACTIVITIES OF THE COMMISSION;
AND

(II)   INCLUDE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FURTHERING
THE PURPOSES OF THE COMMISSION.

(B)  COOPERATION.

AS FAR AS PRACTICABLE, THE VETERANS' HOME COMMISSION SHALL
COOPERATE WITH PERSONS AND PUBLIC AGENCIES TO CARRY OUT THE
PURPOSES AND GOALS OF THE COMMISSION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 96 1/2, §
55(a), (j), and (n).

Subsection (a) of this section is revised to clarify
that submission of the report is a duty. Similarly,
subsection (b) of this section is revised as a duty
although the introductory phrase, "[a]s far as
practicable," preserves any discretion in the former
reference to "powers and duties".
