Ch. 284

In subsection (b) of this section, the former
reference to "any agency of the State, or any of its
political subdivisions, ... or federal agency" is
deleted as unnecessary in light of the general
reference to "public agencies".

Also in subsection (b) of this section, the former
reference to "any private ... agency or foundation"
is deleted as unnecessary in light of the use of the
defined term "person".

Also in subsection (b) of this section, the former
reference to "its establishment and management" of the
Home is deleted as obsolete since the Veterans' Home
Commission has acquired a home and unnecessary in
light of the broad reference to its "purposes".
Similarly, former Art. 96 1/2, § 55(b), which related
to selection of a suitable site for the home, is
deleted as obsolete.

9-926. MISCELLANEOUS POWERS.

(A)  REGULATIONS.

THE VETERANS' HOME COMMISSION MAY ADOPT REGULATIONS TO:

(1)  GOVERN ITSELF; AND

(2)  CARRY OUT THE PURPOSES AND GOALS OF THE
COMMISSION.

(B)  GENERAL AUTHORITY.

(1)  THE VETERANS' HOME COMMISSION MAY TAKE ANY
NECESSARY AND PROPER ACTION TO CARRY OUT A SPECIFIC POWER UNDER
THIS PART III OF THIS SUBTITLE.

(2)   SUBJECT TO THE LEGISLATIVE PURPOSES OF THIS PART
III OF THIS SUBTITLE, THE VETERANS' HOME COMMISSION MAY MAKE
CONTRACTS AND OTHER LEGAL AGREEMENTS.

(C)  DELEGATION OF POWER.

(1)  THE VETERANS' HOME COMMISSION MAY DELEGATE ANY OF
ITS POWERS TO A COMMITTEE OF 1 OR MORE OF ITS MEMBERS OR TO THE
COMMANDANT OF THE HOME.

(2)   IF THE VETERANS' HOME COMMISSION DELEGATES ANY
POWER TO A COMMITTEE OF ITS MEMBERS, THE COMMITTEE:

(I) MAY NOT INCUR ANY EXPENSES WITHOUT THE
CONSENT OF THE COMMISSION; AND
