THE COMMISSION SHALL DETERMINE THE TIMES AND PLACES OF ITS
MEETINGS.

(B)  COMPENSATION AND REIMBURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES.
A MEMBER OF THE COMMISSION:

(1)  MAY NOT RECEIVE COMPENSATION; BUT

(2)   IF THE COMMISSION APPROVES, IS ENTITLED TO
REIMBURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES UNDER THE STANDARD STATE TRAVEL
REGULATIONS, AS PROVIDED IN THE STATE BUDGET.

(C)   STAFF.

THE COMMISSION MAY EMPLOY A STAFF IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
STATE BUDGET.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is standard
language added for clarity.

Subsections (b) and (c) of this section are new
language derived without substantive change from
former Art. 96 1/2, § 3(b) and the fourth clause of
the first sentence of the first paragraph of § 6.

In subsection (b)(2) of this section, the former
reference to "traveling expenses necessitated by their
duties" is deleted in light of the reference to the
Standard State Travel Regulations. Standard State
Travel Regulations are adopted by the Department of
Personnel with the approval of the Board of Public
Works.

Subsection (c) of this section is revised in standard
language, which permits -- rather than requires -- the
employment of staff.

The second paragraph of former Art. 96 1/2, § 4, which
stated that "administrative expenses ... including
salaries, shall be provided for in the budget", is
deleted as unnecessary in light of usual budgetary
requirements.

9-910. DIRECTOR.

(A)  POSITION AND APPOINTMENT.

THE COMMISSION SHALL APPOINT A DIRECTOR FOR THE COMMISSION.

(B)   SALARY.

THE DIRECTOR IS ENTITLED TO THE SALARY PROVIDED IN THE STATE
BUDGET.
