(2)  BE FAMILIAR WITH ALL PHASES OF 18TH CENTURY
ARCHITECTURE; AND

(3)  HAVE THE PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE THAT IS NEEDED
TO RESTORE THE STATE HOUSE IN A WAY THAT BEFITS ITS MAJESTIC
HISTORY AND ITS CURRENT ROLE AS THE CAPITOL.

(C)  COMPENSATION.

THE CONSULTANT IS ENTITLED TO THE COMPENSATION PROVIDED IN
THE STATE BUDGET.

(D)  DUTIES.

THE CONSULTANT SHALL:

(1)  PREPARE MEASURED DRAWINGS OF THE STATE HOUSE;

(2)  PUBLISH THE DRAWINGS AND A DESCRIPTIVE TEXT;

(3)   SEND COPIES OF THE DRAWINGS TO THE NATIONAL TRUST
FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION; AND

(4)   SUBJECT TO § 2-1312 OF THIS ARTICLE, SUBMIT TO
THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY A REPORT ON THE DRAWINGS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 41, §§
407(c) and (d) and 408(c).

In subsection (b)(1) of this section, the reference   to

the Maryland Architectural Registration Board     is

substituted for the former, obsolete reference     to

"Maryland Board of Examiners and Registration     of

Architects", in accordance with Ch. 463, § 2, Acts     of
1968.

As to subsection (d)(1) of this section, the Hall of
Records Commission has those measured drawings that
have been prepared for the State House to date. These
drawings are available under the collection reference
number MdHR G 1197. However, additional drawings may
be prepared if rooms of the State House are renovated
or otherwise changed.
