(2)  MEET WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF OTHER STATES IN THE
NATIONAL CONFERENCE;

(3)  DRAFT UNIFORM LAWS AND MODEL ACTS FOR SUBMISSION
TO AND ADOPTION BY THE STATES;

(4)  RECOMMEND THE BEST ACTION TO ACCOMPLISH
UNIFORMITY IN LEGISLATION; AND

(5)  OTHERWISE SEEK THE BEST MEANS TO OBTAIN
UNIFORMITY IN THE LAWS OF THE STATES.

(B) ANNUAL REPORT.

(1)  BEFORE EACH REGULAR SESSION OF THE GENERAL
ASSEMBLY, THE COMMISSION SHALL SUBMIT AN ANNUAL REPORT:

(I)  TO THE GOVERNOR; AND

(II)  SUBJECT TO § 2-1312 OF THIS ARTICLE, TO
THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY.

(2)  THE ANNUAL REPORT SHALL:

(I)  DESCRIBE THE ACTIVITIES OF THE COMMISSION;
AND

(II)  INCLUDE RECOMMENDATIONS ON APPROPRIATE
SUBJECTS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is new
language derived without substantive change from the
second sentence and the third clause of the first
sentence of former Art. 41, § 154(a).

Subsection (b) of this section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 41, §
154(e) and the second clause of the second sentence of
§ 153.

The introductory language of subsection (a) of this
section, "[i]n addition to any duties set forth
elsewhere," is standard language added to clarify that
the enumerated duties may not be exhaustive.

In subsection (a)(3) of this section, the term "Model
Acts" is added to reflect that, in practice, the
National Conference recommends some acts as Model Acts
rather than Uniform Acts.

In subsection (b)(1) of this section, the requirement
that the Commission submit a report "[b]efore each
regular session" is substituted for the former
requirements for submission to the General Assembly
"at each regular session" and for submission to the
