Acts of 1974. In light of this deletion, former Art. 27, § 371B,
which exempted the State premium savings bonds from Art. 27, §§
356 through 371B, is deleted as unnecessary.

Former Art. 88D, § 8A, which provided for a State lotto game
and for termination of the provisions after distribution of the
revenues from the game, now appears in the Session Laws.

SUBTITLE 2. COMMISSION ON UNIFORM STATE LAWS.

9-201. DEFINITIONS.

(A)   IN GENERAL.

IN THIS SUBTITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

(B)  COMMISSION.

"COMMISSION" MEANS THE STATE COMMISSION ON UNIFORM STATE
LAWS.

Uniform State Laws".

(C)  NATIONAL CONFERENCE.

"NATIONAL CONFERENCE" MEANS THE NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF
COMMISSIONERS ON UNIFORM STATE LAWS.

avoid repetition of the full name "National Conference
of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws".

9-202. ESTABLISHED.

THERE IS A STATE COMMISSION ON UNIFORM STATE LAWS IN THE
EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first sentence of
former Art. 41, § 153 and the second clause of the
first sentence of § 154(a).

It is set forth as a separate section for emphasis.

The term "Commission on Uniform State Laws" is
substituted for the former name "Commissioners for
Uniform State Laws" and the former archaic reference
to the "Commissioners for the Promotion of Uniformity
