AN ACT concerning

Queen Anne's County - Alcoholic Beverages

FOR the purpose of altering the appointing authority for the
attorney and the inspector of the Queen Anne's County Board
of License Commissioners; authorizing conference centers in
the County to hold more than 1 license; and clarifying
language.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 41(g) and 158(1)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

41.

(g) (1) For the purpose of this section, in Queen Anne's
County and Wicomico County a man and wife shall be considered as
one and the same person.

(2) IN QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY, THE PROVISIONS OF
SUBSECTION (A) OF THIS SECTION DO NOT APPLY TO LICENSES ISSUED
UNDER THIS ARTICLE FOR PREMISES OPERATED AS A CONFERENCE CENTER
OR AS CONFERENCE CENTERS.

(1) The [board of license commissioners] BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS of Queen Anne's County shall appoint a full-time
inspector and fix his compensation at a figure not less than
$3,000 per annum plus a mileage allowance as determined by the
County Commissioners. The inspector shall visit and inspect
every premises in Queen Anne's County licensed under the
provisions of this article at least every 60 days. The [board of
license commissioners] BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS also shall
appoint an attorney to handle legal matters for the [board] BOARD
OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS and set his compensation at not more
than $500 per annum.
