(House Bill 1235)
AN ACT concerning
Garrett County - Orphans' Court Judges
FOR the purpose of altering the compensation and expense money of
the judges of the orphans' court of Garrett County; and
providing that this Act does not apply to the judges of the
orphans' court of Garrett County in office on the effective
date of this Act.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article - Estates and Trusts
Section 2-108(m)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Estates and Trusts
2-108.
(m) Each of the judges of the court for. Garrett County
shall receive annual compensation in the amount of $600. Each
judge shall be reimbursed for traveling to and from the sessions
of the court pursuant to the Standard State Travel Regulations.
Each judge shall also receive [$10] $15 FOR EXPENSES for every
day's attendance upon the sessions of the court.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to
Article III, § 35, of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may
not be construed to extend or apply to the salary or compensation
of the judges of the orphans' court of Garrett County in office
on the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act
concerning the salary or compensation of the judges of the
orphans' court of Garrett County shall take effect at the
beginning of the next following term of office.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.
