SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 41 - Governor - Executive and Administrative

(c) (1) [Bonds] EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN PARAGRAPH (2) OF THIS
SUBSECTION, BONDS shall mature not later than 30 years from their
date of issuance.
(2) IF A BOND IS SECURED BY A MORTGAGE INSURED BY A
DEPARTMENT OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, THE BOND SHALL HAVE A TERM
OF MATURITY THAT DOES NOT EXCEED THE TERM OF THE INSURANCE.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

AN ACT concerning
Fishing - Striped Bass
FOR the purpose of providing that a person may not take from the
waters of this State or possess, sell or offer to buy or
sell any striped bass; providing for the effectiveness of
this Act on a certain date contingent upon the
young of the year striped bass index being less than a
certain number; providing for the termination of this Act at
certain times if the young of the year striped bass index is
equal to or greater than a certain number; providing for
penalties on violation of this Act; and generally relating
to prohibitions on the taking, possessing, selling, or
offering to buy or sell striped bass.
FOR the purpose of prohibiting a person from taking any striped
bass in the Chesapeake Bay or its tributaries within a
certain period; and making this Act an emergency measure.
FOR the purpose of designating certain areas of the waters of the
State as spawning areas, spawning rivers, and spawning
