AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE concerning:
Anne Arundel County Code, 2005 and Reorganization
FOR the purpose of adopting a new codification of the public local laws of Anne
Arundel County, to be designated and known as the "Anne Arundel County
Code, 2005," to revise, restate, and recodify the public local laws of Anne
Arundel County relating to: branches of County government, boards,
commissions, and similar bodies, finance, taxation and the budget, pensions,
personnel, public ethics, purchasing, crimes, penalties, and civil fines, cable
television, licenses, public safety, public works, recreation and parks,
construction maintenance and property codes, floodplain management,
sediment control, and stormwater management, subdivision and development,
and zoning; reorganizing the County government by changing the name of a
certain department; providing for the publication of the Charter, the Rules of
Procedure of the County Council, and the Rules of Practice and Procedure of the
