SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 2006 and shall be applicable to all taxable years after June 30, 2006.

AN ACT concerning
Dorchester County - Transfer Tax Revenues - Use for Costs of School
Buildings
FOR the purpose of authorizing the County Council for Dorchester County to use
certain revenues generated from the Dorchester County transfer tax to pay
certain costs associated with school buildings, under certain circumstances and
subject to certain conditions; and generally relating to authorization for the use
of certain revenues generated from the Dorchester County transfer tax to pay
certain costs associated with school buildings.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 10 - Dorchester County
10-8.2.
F. (1) The use of the revenues' generated by the county transfer tax is
restricted and THE REVENUES shall be used by the County [Commissioners]
COUNCIL of Dorchester County for solely and only the following purposes:
[(1)] (A) To pay the principal OF and interest on any general obligation
bonds of Dorchester County issued to pay for capital improvements to the Court
House located at 206 High Street, Cambridge, Maryland 21613; [or
(2)] (B) To pay for capital improvements, including maintenance and
repair expenses, to the Court House located at 206 High Street, Cambridge, Maryland
21613; OR
