       Then the Compl.t not allowing that a Line Drawne East as the originall
       Certificate Expres's would ever come near the head of the Branch called &
       proved to be Parkers Branch but that the said Branch Lyes a Considerable
       way to the Westward of the South Course Quite the Contrary way to the words of
       the Originall Certificate he therefore Ordered me to close and Conclude this
       survey by a Streight Line to the first beginning as by the platt in the Black
       Lynes appears containing one hundred forty and six acres

             And further according to the pretentions of the Compl.t in presence of
       the Defend.t I have Resurveyed and laid out the Tract of Land caled Gadhill
       Beginning at a white oak standing on the south side of Parkers Branch
       described in the platt at E from thence Instead of Runing West one hundred
       perchs I runn west Sixty Eight Perches to the stump of a Tree proved by the
       oath of Thomas Knighton to be the stump of one Ancient bounded Tree
       which he allways beleived to be the second bounded Tree of Gadhill described
       in the platt at F Thence I runn North one hundred & Thirteen Pches to the
       Line of Mash seat described in the plott at G Thence Instead of Running
       East by the direction of the Compl.t I runn East and by South to the line of
       Marshes Seat to Herring Creek described in the platt at A for the
       Beginning of Marshes Seat thence with a Streight Line to the first bounded
       Tree as by the Black Lines in the platt appears Containing Ninety Seven Acres
       and secondly
                                     I have also according to the pretentions of the Defend.t
       in presence of the Compl.t Resurveyed and Laid out the Tract of Land called
       Marshes Seat Beginning at the same spott where the Compl.t Began described
       in the platt at A and Runn North Seventy five Perches to the second bounded
       Tree described in the platt at B thence west by North three hundred and Twenty
       perches to the same place the Compl.t runns to described in the platt at D C
       Thence seventy five perches south to the same place the Compl.t Runn to
       described in the platt at D Thence according to the words of the originall Cert
       I runn East to a Small Branch which Issues out of the main Branch called
       Parkers Branch which the Defend.t alledges is that head of Parkers Branch
       mentioned in his originall Certificate and which has be allowed so to be by
       a Jury (upon the spott) for ascertaining the Bounds of Lands durein the Force
