759 [illegible] ^S.r Thomas Johnsons^ Dep.os Maryland Tal County fs Wee the subscribers being thereunto Authorized by a Comission from her Maj.tys high Court of Chancery for this province to us directed bearing date the 12.th day of October in the Ninth Year of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lady Anne &c.a Annoq Dm 1710 Doe Certifye all persons whom it may Concern that by Virtue of the said Comission on the Tenth day of December Anno Dm 1710 Wee did Meet together with James Darbishire and such Evidences as were by him Nominated to us upon the Tract of Land called Barnes Neck and did then and there take the Depositions of Jasper Hall and Robert Person relating to the bounds of Barnes Neck and Barnes Neck Addition which are herewith Returned but no Evidences Could be found to prove the bounds of the other Tract of Land called Boog's Hole and Wee do further Certifye that upon the point of Marsh mentioned in Jasper Halls Deposition and at the very place where the said Jasper told us the bounded Locust Tree stood (as near as he could guess) Wee have sett up a Locust Post thereby to Notifye the place to posterity and to prevent future Controversey's about the beginning bounded Tree of the said Tract of Land Called Barnes Neck M T Warde R Ungle Talbott County fs The Deposition of Robert Pearson of Talbott County aged about seaventy and seven Years touching the bounds of two severall Tracts of Land called Barnes's neck and Barnes's neck addition saith that the Tract of Land mentioned in Jasper Halls Deposition to be the dwelling plantation of Edward fuller of which Land y.e Locust Tree mentioned in the said Depositions said to be the first bounded Tree did formerly belong to a Certain John Barnes of whom the said Edward fuller bought the said Land And that the Marsh at the upper End of the said Plantation hath allways since his knowledge of it been called and knowne by the name of Barnes's Marsh and further saith not Taken and Certified this 10.th day of December Anno Dom 1711 M T Warde R Ungle Talbott fs The Deposition of Jasper Hall of Talbott County Planter aged about Eighty and Nine Years touching the bounds of two severall Tracts of Land called Barnes's neck and Barnes's neck addition saith that about two or three and thirty Years agoe he the |
