757 been severall times upon severall occasions at the Running of an East Course from the said Tree as a devision Line between the said partys and both of them seemed satisfied herewith and further saith not Attested according to Act of Parliament this 20.th day of Sep.r 1711 before me M T Warde Talbott fs John Kemp aged about thirty years Concerning the bounds of a Tract of Land called Miles End saith that about fifteen or sixteen years agoe he did see the stump of a pine Tree with one or two Notches in it Lying upon the land by the water side about thirty or forty yards below his the said ^John^ Kemps Landing on the bay side and that his father did Tell him that he did beleive it was the ^stump of y.e^ second bounded Tree of a Tract of Land called Miles End and further saith that the stump at that time was Loose and not anyways fixt in the Ground and further saith not Attested according to an act of parliament this 20.th day of Sep.r 1711 before me M T Warde Talbott fs Robert Sands of Talbott County Planter aged about fifty Years concerning the bounds of a Tract of Land called Miles End saith that when he was a servant to Jn.o Cooper being about Twenty nine or thirty years agoe he did see a pine Tree lying under the banck on the bay side about thirty or forty yars below John Kemps Landing with three Notches on the upper side of it but whether there was any more Notches on it or Not he cannot Tell And that afterwards he this depon.t heard Edmund Webb at severall times says that the afd pine Tree was the second bounded Tree of a Tract of Land called Miles End And further saith that he hath heard William Webb in his lifetime say that a bounded Ceader Tree which stood by a Marsh Side between the Dwelling plantations of the afd William Webb and Francis Bullock and now lyes there near unto which there was this day a white oake Tree bound) was y.e bounded division Tree Between his Land and that which did belong to Ralph Fishburne called Webley & further saith not Attested according to Act of Parliament this 20.th day of Sep.r 1711 before me M T Warde Talbott fs Charles Bridges of Talbott County Planter Aged about forty Eight Years concerning the bounds of a Tract of Land called Miles End saith that about Twenty Three Years agoe he being at worke with Susannah Cooper upon her dwelling plantation she the said Susanna did show him a Marked Gumm Tree standing in the head of a Branch at or near the place where there is this (day |
