755 George Haddaways Depositions about Miles End and Webley Maryland Talbott County fs By Virtue of a Comission from the high Court of Chancery for this Province of Maryland to me directed bearing Date the Eighth day of this Instant Sep.r in the Tenth Year of her Majestys Reigne Annoq Dm 1711 To whom it may Concerne (I Certify that I have this day caused to appear before me upon the Tracts of Land Mentioned in the said Comission called Webley and Miles End) Francis Bulluck Ennion Williams John Kemp Robert Sands Charles Bridges John Cooper & George Hadaway Sen.r being persons Nominated to me as Evidences to prove the bounds of the said Lands and have taken their Depositions relating thereunto & herewith Returned them And I do further Certify that for the better ascertaining the bounds of the Said Lands to posterity In the Presence of the afd Evidences I did cause a Locust Post to be Sett up and Marked with Twelve Notches about Tenn Yards from the Banck Side at the place where the Evidences did declare the beginning bounded Tree of Webley being an Ash did stand And at the place where the Ceader Tree did stand which was supposed to be marked instead of the second bounded Tree of the afd Land called Webley I have caused a White Oake tree standing very near the place where the Ceader stood to be marked with Twelve Notches and at the Place where the Gum tree did stand which was supposed to be in the East Line of the afd Land called Miles End and serves as a direction to find the second bounded Tree thereof I have likewise caused a Locust Post Marked with Twelve Notches to be sett up but for as much as the ^place where y.e^ second bounded Tree of Miles End did stand remains very uncertain I have left it without any other Notification then the Landing place mentioned in the said Depositions and other Circumstances Relating thereunto Given under my hand this 20.th day of September in the Tenth Year of her Majestys Reigne Annoq Dm 1711 M T Warde Talbott fs Francis Bullock of Talbott County Planter Aged about seventy & three Years Concerning the bounds of a Tract of Land called Webley saith that some years agoe (but cannott Tell how many) Ralph Fishburned desired him this Deponent together with Ennion Williams to goe with him to the bay side to see the first bound Tree of afd (Tract |
