             Christopher Vernons Depositions about a Tract of Land Called Gadhill

       To her Majestys high and honble Court of Chancery Itt is

                                 Itt is humbly Certifyed that in obedience to her Maj.tys Comission to us
       Richard Jones Jun.r Joshua Towgood and Abraham Birkhead or any two of us Directed
       to Examin Evidences in Perpetuam rei Memoriam of & Concerning a Certain Cause in
       the Said Court Depending Between John Hall Esq Complain.t and Christopher Vernon
       Defendant  Wee have caused to come before us Evidences on behalf of the Defend.t
       Who being Sworne were Interrogated as followeth

                          Thomas Trott of Ann Arundell County Interrogated y.e 19.th of June 1711

1.st      Did you see the Deed or Writing now shewed to you porporting a Conveyance
       of Marshes Seat from Thomas Knighton Jun.r and Dorothy his wife to the Defend.t
       Dated the 19.th November 1701 Signed Sealed and Delivered

                   To which he saith he did and Further Saith Not

       Interrogatorys put to Samuel Guichard y.e 28.th June 1711

1.st Int.ry   What County are you off

                 To which he saith he was borne in Geneve and further saith not

2.d            What age were you of when you came into Maryland

                To which he Answer'd about sixteen Years & further saith not

3.d            Whether do you know any bounded Tree or Line Tree of a Tract of Land called Gadhill or
                ever saw any Tree bounded or hired for the said Pretended Tract

                   To which he Answered no and further saith not

4.th            How long have you been in Maryland

                               To which he Answered Twenty Eight years and further saith not

5.th            Who did you serve your time with and cann you Remember when your Master M.r
                 Thomas Knighton the Elder made his will and who was there then and at what place was
                 it made and whether he ever made any other Will

                    To which he Answered he served his time with M.r Thomas Knighton ^the Elder^ & beleives
       he made his will about Twenty six years agoe And that Col Holland M.r George Parker
       the Elder and M.r Hanslapp were at the old house where his Master Lived at the same
       time but he doth not know whether he ever made any other Will & further saith not
