708 Land was in Dispute and fearing that it Should be taken from him the said Charles To y.e 3.d Answered that the said Deed was Delivered by the Said Charles Calvert to the said Richard Calvert some time in the month of March or thereabouts in the year one thousand seven hundred & Eight To y.e 4.th Answered that this Deponent was never Wittness to any other Deed or writing any was concerning or relating to Charles Calvert & and Rich.d Calvert but only to a Letter of Attorney from Charles Calvert to Richard Calvert which was made then next day this Depon.t being a Wittness to the Same To y.e 5.th Answered that this Depon.t never heard Charles Calvert say to what & Intent he made over the Said Land to his brother Rich.d but the Sixth Said Richard told this Depon.t that the Intent & purpose was that the said Writing would be putt into Chancery in behalf of his brother Charles & further saith that this Depon.t doth not Remember that he ever saw M.r Richard Calvert before that time that he was Wittness to the Deed and further saith not his Thomas T Cooke Marke December 2.d 1710 Then came Thomas Cooke before us the Comiss.rs appointed as above and made oath on the holy Evangelist to the Severall Answers as above as Wittness our hands and Seales Walt.r Story (S) Charles Jones (S) |
