668 To Walter Phelps The first and second Interrogatorys 7.th Interr.o Doe you know whether George Green left these parts before the 25.th of July 1675 or not and upon what occasion Anne Bradley 8.th Doe you know anything of a Will made by Rich.d Beard the Elder after the 24.th day of July 1675 and who were Wittness's thereto and when was the said Will made Mahittable Peirpoint 9.th Did you ever hear of any of a Will of Rich.d Beards the Elder that was Recorded in Ann Arundell County Records and afterwards supposed to be cutt out of the Booke and destroyed by his son Richard after Col.o Burgesses Death and what do you know or have heard thereof To her Majestys high and honble Court of Chancery It is humbly Certified that in obedience to her Maj.tys Com.n to us directed Sam.ll Young Charles Greenberry and Thomas Larkin or any Two of us Directed to Examine Evidences in Perpetuam rei Memoriam of and Concertaining A certain cause in the Said Court Depending between Matthew Beard Matthew Beard Comp.lt and Mordica Moore Defend.t Wee have caused to come before us both the said partys with what Evidences Wee produced in relation thereof who being Sworne were Interrogated as follows in part of the Complainant in presence of the Defend.t Viz.t & First George Green of County 1.st Int.r Whether he knew Richard Beard the Elder of Ann Arundell County To this Inter.ry he saith he did and further saith not 2.dly Whether he knew A certain John Rosster To this Interrogatory he saith he did know one John Roster who dwelt in Sassafras about twenty years agoe but never knew him on the Westerne Shoar And he served his time to the best of his Remembrance with one W.m Thomas but never knew him to be an Evidence to a Will of the Said Rich.d Beard and that the said Rosters wife and still living is named Joan and furth Saith not 3.d Whether he Remembers any will made by old Rich.d Beard his Master To this Interrogatory he Saith he did one two or three wills by him made and the Last to the Cost of his Remembrance was about five years Before he left |
