1675 the widdow of the Said John Bateman And Henry Scarbrowgh of North Walsham in y.e County or Norfolke gent and then and there and in p.rsence of Severall witnesses thereunto Called did Setle and Deliver as their Act and Deed to the use of Richard Perry of Petuxent in Maryland in America Marchant the Indenture of Bargaine & Sale (Purporting or Conveyance of y.e Resurreccon Mannor in Maryland in America from y.e said Mary Bateman and Henry Scarbrough to y.e said Richard Perry) hereunto Annexed bearing date y.e eightenth day of November 1674 and in the Six and Twentyth year of y.e Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles y.e Second by y.e Grace of God King of England Scotland France & Ireland Defendo.r of the Faith &c expressing and Declaring their minde and desire that the Same may have its full effect according to y.e true intent & meaning thereof In witnes whereof wee the Said Lord Mayo.r and Aldermen or Senators of y.e Citty of London have Caused the Seale of the Office of Maioralty of the Said Citty to be put to these p.rsents Dated at London the One & twentyth day of November Ano Dm (Stilo Anglie) 1674 And in the Six and twentyth year of y.e Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord Charles y.e Second by the Grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland King Defender of y.e Faith &c Pragstaffe In y.e Chancery Maryland Whereas heretofore that is to Say in Decemb.r Court in y.e Yeare of our Lord 1674 Richard Hatton & Ann his wife Sole Daughter & Heire of John Price late of S.t Maries County decd did exhibite their bill of Complt in y.e High & Honourable Court of Chancery against Thomas Dent W.m Hatton George Macall & Daniell Clocker defd.ts Thereby Setting forth that y.e Said John Price being in his Life time Seazed in Fee of Severall Lands and Tenements in y.e Said County and of a Considerable Personall Estate about Fourteene Years Since dyed Leaving y.e Comp.lt Ann about Two Years old having First made his last will & Testam.t in writing & thereby amongst other things did will & Devise unto his Sonn in Law Joseph Bullet from out of his Stocke & goods att y.e herring Creeke Eight Cowes & a bull |
