       Betweene the said Complts and Defend.t That if the person
       to whome the said Low had hired the said Sloope last had noe further
       Service for her (as he beleived he had not) that then he should have
       her at the rate of five pounds P moneth pportionably for soe
       long or shorte a time as he should have occasion to make use of
       her or Employ the said Sloope in his Service Assureing him she was
       a good and sufficient Sloope Every way well furnished with Anchors
       Cables Sailes and boat fitt and necessary for such a Vessell to Trade
       with any where within the bay of Chesepeake and the Complt in
       some small tyme after such agreement Accidentally meeting w.th one
       Anthony Rumball at the house of one William Scott in Miles river
       he the said Rumball told the Complt that he had the Sloope or
       vessell in possession and that the person to whome the said Low had
       formerly hired her had no further service for her  And that Complt
       upon M.r Lows order should have the said Sloope delivered to him
       which was accordingly done  And the Complt in order to Transport
       the goods hired two Saylors who upon theire goeing aboard the said
       Vessell in order to fitt and Equipp her for the Transporting the
       goods aforesaid could find neither Anchor nor Cables nor boat
       nor Sayles any way fitt for service soe that the Complt meeting
       with such an unexpected disappointm.t was Constrained to use
       all possible meanes to gett such things as was requisite and
       necessary for the said Vessell for Transporting the goods aforesd
       But soe it was that upon putting of some goods on board and pceeding
       to Transport them to the plantacon afd the said Vesell proved
       soe unsufficient and unfitt for service  That the said goods soe put
       on board were all damnifyed and the lives of such as was on board
       her hazarded to the great Damage and disappointment of the Complt
       soe that he was necessitated to dispatch the delivery of such goods
       As had beene put on board her  And at length the Complt through
       his Earnest request and Considerable rewards perswaded such as he
       had hired for Transporting the sd goods to carry the sd Vessell to the
       place from whence the Complts had her the which they did and gave
       Notice of the same  And of her insufficiency for service  To the said
       Low  As the Complts will make appeare to this Hono.ble Court  But
       in as much as the said Sloope or Vessell in some small tyme
