                                    The Deposition of William Bladen Gentl aged about
             Thirty eight yeares taken before Wornell Hunt and Thomas Bordley
             Comissioners thereunto appointed being sworne on the holy Evangelist
             of Almighty God

       Saith that some time about the year Sixteene hundred Ninety Five M.rs
       Mary Vanswearingen Complained that M.rs Margrett Freeman had Circumvented
       her Concerning a Lott or part of A Lott under the State house hill
       Which your declarant has been told and veryly beleived is the Lott on which
       the said M.rs Freemans now dwelling house is (The said M.rs Vansweringen
       Alledging) She had bought one Elizabeth Proctors part thereof but the
       said M.rs Freeman proposeing to build a good house the then Governour
       Coll Nicholson was inclinable M.rs Freeman took it up but beleives M.rs Freeman
       acted solely thereon

                    The Deposition of William Taylard aged about Forty Seaven
                    or Forty eight Years upon his oath taken before Wornell
                    Hunt and Thomas Bordley Comissioners thereunto Appointed

       Saith that some time in the year of our Lord Sixteene Hundred Ninety
       Four or Sixteene Hundred Ninety Five at the Towne of Annapolis
       meeting with one Elizabeth Proctor late an Inhabitant in S.t Maryes
       County and haveing some Discourse with her She told him that M.rs
       Margrett Freeman and her selfe had taken up a Lott of Land in the
       said Towne of Annapolis which was designed to be built upon by the
       said M.rs Freeman  He this Deponent then asked her what advantage
       it would be to her the said Elizabeth Proctor answered him that she
       thought she might have some employment under the said M.r Freeman
       whereby to gett a penny (or words to that Effect) upon which he asked her
       whether the lott was enterd in both theire names  She then declared to this
       Depo.t that it was certainly soe enterd  And this Depo.t further saith upon
       his oath that some time after he did see upon some small towne
       record a acertaine Lott in the said Towne taken up and enterd in both
       theire names  And doe veryly beleive that it is the same lott that is
       since Improved and build upon by the said M.rs Margrett Freeman
       and her husband John Freeman lately Decd and whereon the sd M.rs Freeman
       now lives and further saith not
