       Thomas Cruchly of Ann Arundell County Plan.r Deposeth
       for truth between Sam.ll Galloway and Stephen Longman
       Complts and Gabrill Parrott Defend.t

       That he knoweth the Complt Galloway & y.e Def.t Parrott but knoweth not
       the Complt Longman and the Depo.t doth Say that he was Sever.ll
       years acquainted w.th Dan.ll Longman of Ann Arundell County decd
       and about four or five years before his Death being in Comp.a
       with Dan.ll Longman at s.d Longmans planta he heard his
       Serv.ts complaine to him that he workt them hard and did not
       Cloth them well and that he Desired them to be patient
       till he had wetherd the poynt what he Explained to be paying
       Gabriell Parrott for the Land and then his Tab would
       be his owne and they should be better Clothed and this Depo.t
       knows that afterwards about two yeares before his Death
       he did better Cloth his Serv.ts to their Content and did
       ship his Tab or good part thereof for England and this Depo.t
       Saith that Some time about a year before his death this
       Depo.t came to Longmans and he Askt him to come in and he
        was then a Looking over his books and papers and then tould this
        Depo.t that Gabriell Parrott had Arested him but was sure it
        was w.thout Just cause for he was not in his Debt but Parrott in
       his Debt that Parrott kept his bills or bonds in his hands after
       he had paid them and that he would prove for that he had paid
       him sev.ll Sums of Tab of his ^owne^ plant and ^had^ recd Tab for s.d Parrott to y.e Number
       of a hund.r and odd hhds but Parrott had not given Credit for it nor would
       deliver in his bonds but that now he was Arrested at his Sute
       he was resolved to trye it out and hoped to get in his bonds againe
       and Longman then further Said that Parrott related he was not
       worth any thing but that all was Parrotts but that hee did not Doubt
       making it appear that Nothing of his Estate was Parrotts but all his owne and
       that he owed Nothing to Parrott but Parrott owed him  This Depo.t Saith that he was
       at Dan.ll Longmans Funerall and that he was one that put the Corps in y.e Costs
       and the same Sheet that covered him was put in the Coffin with him and
       this Depo.t Saith that he was conversant with all the Comp.a that was
       there and Drunk of what Liquor was there but Saw None nor tasted
       any wine and is well Assured there was not any brought there for the
       Funerall
