290 his life sold and Conveyed to the said Complts by Deeds dated the 28.th day of April 1693 were alsoe produced and proved in Courte And this Courte also takeing into their serious Consideracons the many greate sums of Tobacco payd by the Complts for the proper debts of the said John Ocane and the greate debts due from the said John Ocane to the estate of the said Brayne and the many debts the Complts had payd for the said Braynes by the Complts which the said John Ocane ought to have payd and might well have payd out of the effects received from the said Henry Brayne if the said John Ocane had not otherwise mispent the same And considering alsoe that the said Henry Brayne beside the Consideracon aforesaid of marriage had maintained his wifes Sister at Schoole severall years and had engaged to pay her at the day of Marriage 20000.ℓ of Tobacco And which the Complts since his death did pay to the said Blizard all which sums did amount unto the sume of 219408.ℓ of Tobacco or thereabouts and were all or the greatest part of them proved to be payd to and for & received by the said John Ocane and his daughter Susanna as by the pticulars reduced to the forme of an Account & produced here in Courte and to this Decree annexed may more fully appear And this Courte alsoe weighing & considering the Allegacons of the Complts Councill that the said sume of 219408.ℓ of Tobacco was much more then all the estate either reall or personall that the said John Ocane had or was possest with and that the said Giles Blizard had got the possession and inheritance of the One Thousand acres called Bueplaines in satisfaccon for the said 20000.ℓ of Tobacco secured by the said Brayne for the porcon of the said Susanna his wife This Courte therefore doth thinke fitt and soe Order and Decree that the said Complts Edward Saunders and Jane his wife shall and doe hold the said seven hundred acres of Land called Canes purchase and the said Land called Jericho with their appurtenances to them and their heirs for ever against the said John Ocane and Giles Blizard and Susanna his wife and the said Robert Thompson and Mary his wife and the said Susanna the Daughter of the said Giles Blizard and Susanna his wife or any claiming by from or under them or any of them and that the said Defts Robert Thompson and Mary his wife and the said Susanna doe at or before the five and Twentieth day of December next ensueing quitt leave surrender and deliver up to the said Complts or their Assignes the full quiet and peaceable possession of all that pte of the said land called Canes purchase which is now in their possession or which they or the said Giles |
