       & appurtenances to the same belonging for the full terme of None
       hundred Ninety and Nine Yeares Und.r the Rent of one Pepper
       Corne if Demanded w.th this Proviso  That if the said Comp.lt
       his Executo.r Adm.r or assignes or any of them should well & truely
       pay or Cause to bee payd unto the said deft his Executo.rs Adm.rs or
       assignes att or upon the Now dwelling Plantacon of the said Comp.lt
       in Hunting Creeke aforesaid or att some other Convenient Landing
       place in Calvert County w.thin half a Mile of the waterside The
       Just sume of Twenty five thousand Eighty and Eight Pounds of
       Tobacco in Casq upon the Twentyeth day of December next Ensueing
       the date thereof w.thout any Fraud then the said Demise to bee voyd
       or else to stand in full force as by the said Deed might appeare and the
       Deft sayd that for what bills and accounts the deft Received of the
       Comp.lt to bee Putt in suite as aforesaid hee ought not to give him any
       Receipt for the same Nor was it usuall w.th Attornyes att Lawe soe to
       doe but sayd hee did use all his Utmost Endeavo.rs according to the duty
       of an Attorney for the speedy Recovery of the same and that the
       Comp.lt did Receive satisfaccon of seav.ll the deft sued for him for theire
       seav.ll debts as the deft beleived & the deft denyed hee did (but upon the
       Comp.lts solicitacon & request aforesaid) Und.rtooke the psecuteing or
       Defending any the accons aforesaid or agreed to pay his Credito.rs
       aforesaid but finding him much incumbred w.th debts & had a greate
       sume To Pay the Lord Prop.ry for his Land (w.ch he might otherwise
       loose)  The deft to help him in his Necessity Relyeing upon his pmise
       to bee duely repaid  What hee should pay for him w.th what Interest
       hee should desire w.th all his just fees and Disbursem.ts hee did pay
       the seav.ll sumes aforesaid but Knew not of any agreem.t the
       Comp.lt had made w.th any of his Credito.rs to take satisfaccon in
       goods  That Tobacco was Very scarce w.th the Comp.lt & hee had
       very Little Tobacco that was good debts due to him Not soe much
       as the deft would give Foure thousand Pounds of Tobacco
       Denyed y.t hee did Ever Diswade the Comp.lt from selling his stock
       Cattle or Goods to pay his Debts or that hee would preserve the
       same from his Credito.rs but alwaies advised him soe to doe  That y.e
       psonall Estate did not amount to above the sume of Twenty thousand
       pounds of Tobacco & that the same and Land aforesaid were Mortgages
