SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments
534R.
(a) In Harford County, except as specifically provided
herein, it is unlawful on Sunday, except on the four Sundays
preceding December 25 in each year, for any person, firm,
partnership, or corporation to conduct business for profit in the
usual manner and location or to open an establishment to the
general public, or to cause, direct, permit, or authorize an
employee or agent to engage in or conduct business or open an
establishment in that manner.
(c) Nothing in this section applies to the following types
of business operations:
1. The sale or rental of real estate.
2. Hospitals, nursing homes, medical or other health
services.
3. Agricultural activities including florists,
nurserymen and farmers, and commercial fishing.
4. Transportation of goods or persons, including
airports and bus or railroad terminals and boating facilities.
5. Car washes.
6. Self-service laundromats.
7. Hotels, motels, rooming houses or other provisions
of lodgings.
8. The presentation of motion pictures, spectator
sports, or other public entertainment for profit after 1:00 p.m.
