LAWS OF MARYLAND
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages Section 36 Annotated Code of Maryland (1981 Replacement Volume and 1982 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages 36. (A)  (1) In Howard County the owner or owners of any
regularly licensed racing establishment, whether individual,
association of individuals, or a corporation, shall be entitled
to procure a license for the sale of any and all alcoholic
beverages within the confines of its racing park in said county. (2)  The cost for such license shall be $1,000.00
each calendar year, payable to the clerk of the Circuit Court for
Howard County, and shall entitle the holder to sell at one or
more locations within its said park. (3)   Such licenses and the licensees thereunder shall
be subject to all laws, rules and regulations applicable in
Howard County to the sale of alcoholic beverages, not
inconsistent with the provisions of this section. (B)  (1) IN HOWARD COUNTY, THE BOARD OF LICENSE
COMMISSIONERS MAY ISSUE A WS (WINE SAMPLING) LICENSE TO HOLDERS
OF A CLASS A-1 BEER, WINE, AND LIQUOR LICENSE.     BONA FIDE
NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS. (2)  THE WS LICENSE PERMITS THE CONSUMPTION FOR
TASTING OR SAMPLING PURPOSES ONLY, ON PREMISES, OF LIGHT WINE OF
WINE ONLY FOR TASTING OR SAMPLING PURPOSES ON CLASS B LICENSED
PREMISES WITH AUTHORIZATION OF THE LICENSEE OR ON NONLICENSED
PREMISES. (3)  THE LICENSEE MAY NOT SERVE MORE THAN 1-OUNCE 2
OUNCES FROM EACH GIVEN BRAND TO ANY ONE PERSON. (4)  THE LICENSEE BONA FIDE NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION
SHALL APPLY FOR A WS LICENSE AT LEAST 30 15 DAYS PRIOR TO THE DAY
ON WHICH THE LICENSE WILL BE USED. (5)  THE BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS MAY NOT ISSUE
MORE THAN 4 1 WS LICENSES TO ANY ONE LICENSEE BONA FIDE
NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION IN ANY LICENSE YEAR GIVEN MONTH. (6)  THE COST OF THE WS LICENSE IS $25 $15 PER DAY. (7)  THE WS LICENSE SHALL PERMIT THE APPLICANT TO
CARRY WINE ONTO THE PREMISES FOR WINE SAMPLING PURPOSES WITH THE
AUTHORIZATION OF THE OWNER OR LICENSEE OF A CLASS B LICENSE.
