(House Bill 965)
AN ACT concerning
Howard County - Carnivals, Bazaars, and Raffles
FOR the purpose of providing that it is not unlawful for certain
organizations to conduct certain types of carnivals,
bazaars, or raffles in Howard County. repealing certain
provisions concerning conducting or holding a carnival,
bazaar, or raffle specifically in Howard County; providing
that in Howard County certain organizations, companies or
corporations conducting or holding a carnival, bazaar or
raffle shall be exempt from the provisions generally
relating to "Gaming"; limiting the use of those proceeds;
and providing that the carnival, bazaar or raffle shall be
managed by the members of the organizations, companies or
corporations personally.

(a) Nothing in this subtitle shall be construed to make it
unlawful for any volunteer fire company or bona fide fraternal,
civic, war veterans', religious or charitable organization or
corporation in Howard County to conduct or hold a carnival,
bazaar or raffle for the exclusive benefit of any such volunteer
fire company or fraternal, civic, war veterans', religious or
charitable organization or corporation, provided that no
individual or group of individuals shall:
