LAWS OF MARYLAND
Board of Trustees of the State Universities and
Colleges - Auxiliary Facilities FOR the purpose of authorizing the Board of Trustees of the State
Universities and Colleges to place revenues received from
any auxiliary facility fee imposed under Section 12,
Subtitle 1 of Chapter 22 of the 1978 Laws of Maryland in a
trust fund to be used for certain purposes related to
auxiliary facilities at State colleges and universities
under the Board's direction and control; and making certain
technical corrections. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Section 12 of Chapter 22 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1978
Section 12A, 12B, 12C(a), 12E, 12-I, and 12J
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Section 12 of Chapter 22 of the Acts of 1978 12A. As used in §§ 12A-12J, inclusive, of this subtitle, the
following words and terms shall have the following meaning,
unless the context shall indicate another different meaning or
intent: (1) The word "resolution" shall mean a resolution adopted
by a majority of the members of the board of trustees of the
State UNIVERSITIES AND colleges; (2) The word "costs" as applied
to any project shall embrace the cost of construction, the cost
of the acquisition of all land, rights-of-way, property rights,
easements and interests acquired for such construction, the cost
of all machinery and equipment, financing charges, interest prior
to and during construction and for one year after completion of
construction, the cost of engineering and legal expenses, plans,
specifications, surveys, estimates of costs and revenue, other
expenses necessary or incident to determining the feasibility or
practicability of construction of any project, administrative
expenses, and such other expense as may be necessary or incident
to the construction of any project, the financing of such
construction and the placing of any such project in operation;
any obligation or expense heretofore or hereafter incurred by the
said board of trustees for preparation of plans and
specifications, and other engineering services in connection
with the construction of any such project shall be regarded as a
part of the cost of such project and may be reimbursed to said
board of trustees out of the proceeds of the revenue bonds
hereinafter authorized; and (3) the term "auxiliary facility"
(the singular shall include the plural) and the term "auxiliary
facilities" shall mean and embrace any facility or facilities,
now existing or hereafter constructed or acquired, which furnish
