Probationary Employees
FOR the purpose of clarifying that the right of a
probationary status employee to appeal an adverse action or
initiate a grievance is limited to instances where the basis of a
removal or acts constituting the basis of a grievance are
illegal.

AN ACT concerning
Nondisciplinary Separations
FOR the purposes of (1) defining "resignation"; (2)
clarifying that the withdrawal of a resignation is discretionary
with the employee's appointing authority; (3) deleting certain
unnecessary provisions relating to completion of assignment
separations; (4) providing that an organizational unit within a
department which unit is funded from non-County revenues, should
be considered as a department for reduction-in-force purposes;
(5) increasing the maximum number of days permitted for a detail
in the event of an employee's temporary disability and clarifying
details; and (6) making certain technical amendments.
