amending the definition of rental facility to exclude apartment
hotel guest rooms. Effective Date April 2, 1982.
BILL NO. 5-81 AN EMERGENCY ACT to amend Chapter 54, title "Transient
Lodging Facilities", Section 54-1, title "Definitions", to amend
the definitions of Boardinghouse, Director and department,
Establishment, Hostel, Tourist home, and Transient guest;" to
amend Section 54-2, title "Authority of Council to regulate and
license", to provide for the Executive to establish regulations
and fees; to amend Section 54-3, title "Guest register - Required
to be kept by hotels, tourist homes, etc.; information to be
shown", for the purpose of clarification; to amend Section 54-6,
title "Limitation on admission of guests", to be titled
"Limitation on admission of visitors"; to amend Section 54-9,
title "Parking facilities", for purpose of clarification; to
amend Section 54-19, title "Fees", to provide for the Executive
to establish fees; and to amend Section 29-59, title "Renewal",
to change the licensure date to coincide with the term of the
rental facility license. Effective Date April 2, 1982.
BILL NO. 6-81 AN ACT to amend Chapter 31 of the Montgomery County Code
1972, as amended, title, "Motor Vehicles and Traffic" by
repealing and reenacting with amendments Section 31-1, title
"Definitions" to define official sign and official traffic
control devices to require that they conform to the "Manual on
Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways";
Section 31-2, title "Authority of county executive to erect
traffic signs" to require that the design, color, size and
placement of traffic signs on private property conform to the
"Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and
Highways"; Section 31-10, title "Authority of county executive to
erect parking signs" to require that parking signs on private
property conform . to the "Manual on Uniform Traffic Control
Devices for Streets and Highways" with regard to design, color,
size and placement; and Section 31-23, title "Authority of county
executive or his designee to regulate by signs" to require that
official signs conform to the "Manual on Uniform Traffic Control
Devices for Streets and Highways" with respect to color, design,
size and placement. Effective Date July 13, 1981.
