BILL NO. 1-81
AN EMERGENCY ACT to implement recent Charter Amendment by
amending Chapter 2, titled "Administration" of the Montgomery
County Code 1972, as amended, by amending Section 2-82, titled
"Consideration of Bills Generally" to increase from four to five
the number of Council votes required to reapprove any budget item
over the disapproval or reduction by the County Executive, except
in the case of certain budgets.
Effective Date April 13, 1981.

AN EMERGENCY ACT to implement recent Charter Amendment by
amending Chapter 2, titled "Administration" of the Montgomery
County Code 1972, as amended, by amending Section 2-78, titled
"Schedule; adoption of rules and regulations; public sessions",
to change the days designated for regular legislative sessions
from the first three Tuesdays of every month to the first and
third Tuesdays of every month, and to provide for cases where an
official holiday falls on a Tuesday.
Effective Date April 13, 1981.

AN ACT to amend Subsection (b) of Section 33-74, title
"Cost-of-living adjustment" of Article IV, title
"Employer-Employee Relations" of Chapter 33, title "Personnel" of
the Montgomery County Code 1972, as amended, to allow the Chief
Administrative Officer to establish salary maxima for grades 32
through 39 by utilizing a comparability study for Fiscal Year
1983 and to provide that no County employee's salary is reduced
below its level as of June 30, 1982.
Effective Date June 30, 1982.
