OCEAN CITY
CHARTER RESOLUTION AMENDMENT NO. 1982-13 SUBJECT: "Removal of Mayor and City Council Members and
Filling of Vacancies." Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of Ocean City,
Maryland, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E of
the Constitution of Maryland, and Section 13 of Article 23A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 edition as amended, to amend
the Charter of the Town of Ocean City, Maryland, the amendment to
be entitled: "Removal of Mayor and City Council Members and
Filling of Vacancies" by repealing and reenacting with amendment
a certain section of the Charter of the Town of Ocean City,
Maryland. This amendment shall have the effect of providing that
the President of the City Council shall serve as interim Mayor
when the Mayor's Office shall become vacant and to provide for
special election for the Office of Mayor [Section C-408-D. of the Charter of the Town of Ocean City,
Worcester County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments. Effective Date December 7, 1982]
CHARTER RESOLUTION AMENDMENT NO. 1982-14 SUBJECT: "Filing Statements of Candidacy." Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of Ocean City,
Maryland, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E of
the Constitution of Maryland, and Section 13 of Article 23A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 edition as amended, to amend
the Charter of the Town of Ocean City, Maryland, the amendment to
be entitled: "Filing Statements of Candidacy" by repealing and
reenacting with amendment a certain section of the Charter of the
Town of Ocean City, Maryland. This amendment shall have the
effect of changing the required resignation date of any
Councilman who desires to run for Office of Mayor. [Section C-506B of the Charter of the Town of Ocean City,
Worcester County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments. Effective Date December 7, 1982]
