RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISIONERS
OF DENTON
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSIONERS OF DENTON ADOPTED PURSUANT
TO THE AUTHORITY OF ARTICLE XI-E OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND AND ARTICLE 23A OF THE ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND: TO
REPEAL AND RE-ENACT SECTIONS 305.1 AND 305.2 OF THE CHARTER OF
THE TOWN OF DENTON AS SET FORTH IN ARTICLE 6 OF THE CODE OF
PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS OF MARYLAND (1965 EDITION AS AMENDED), SAID
SECTIONS AMENDING THE VOTING POWERS OF THE MAYOR AND VICE-MAYOR.
[Sections 51-305.1 and 51-305.2 of the Charter of the Town
of Denton, Caroline County, repealed and reenacted, with
amendments.
Effective Date November 2, 1982]

RESOLUTION NO. 17
CODE OF ETHICS
WHEREAS, Article VII, Section 706 (Section 63) of the
Charter of the City of District Heights creates a code of ethics
provision; and
WHEREAS, state law requires that every municipality adopt
ordinances on the same subject conforming very closely to the
wording of state regulations on the subject; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to adopt a
model ethics law prepared and circulated by the state rather than
to attempt piecemeal amendments of existing laws of the City.
[Section 22-63 of the Code of Public Laws of Prince George's
County, 1965 Edition, 1967 Supplement, repealed and added.
