RESOLUTION
OF THE
TOWN OF EASTON
TO AMEND THE CHARTER
NO. 48
A Resolution of the Town of Easton, adopted pursuant to the
authority of Article 11-E of the Constitution of Maryland, and
Section 13 of Article 23-A of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Ed. as amended) title "Corporations - Municipal", sub-title
"Home Rule", sub-heading "Charter Amendments", to amend Article
6, Section 21 of the Charter of the Town of Easton (Article 21 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, (1930 Edition), as
amended, title "Talbot County", sub-title "Easton") to delete
therefrom Subsection b, to reletter subsequent Subsections
therein, and to add a new Subsection f; the effect of said
amendments being to eliminate from Article 6, Section 21 of the
Charter of the Town of Easton, the requirement that any special
assessment levied upon property located within parking districts
created by the Town Council be at a rate not to exceed One Dollar
($1.00) per hundred dollars of assessed valuation, and
authorizing the Town Council to enact appropriate legislation to
amend existing ordinances and/or resolutions relating to special
assessment districts for offstreet parking purposes to eliminate
the requirement that special assessments authorized therein be
levied at a rate not to exceed One Dollar ($1.00) per hundred
dollars of assessed valuation per annum.
[Section 21, of Article VI, of the Charter of the Town of
Easton, Talbot County, Maryland repealed and reenacted, with
amendments.
Effective December 7, 1982]

RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Commissioners of the Town of
Elkton adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E of the
Constitution of Maryland and Section 19 of Article 23A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), 1981 Replacement
Volume Title "Corporations-Municipal" to add a new section to the
Code of Cecil County, Maryland (adopted January 25, 1971) under
Chapter 27 of said Code which incorporates the Charter of the
Town of Elkton as adopted on January 27, 1981, and constituting
an amendment to the municipal charter of the body politic and
corporate known as the Town of Elkton, and to annex and include
