BLADENSBURG
ENLARGING THE CORPORATE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF BOWIE BY ANNEXING LAND CONTIGUOUS AND ADJOINING THE EXISTING CORPORATE AREA (BOWIE GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB) WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bowie, a Municipal
Corporation of the State of Maryland, has determined to enlarge
and extend the limits of the City of Bowie by including therein a
part of Prince George's County contiguous and adjoining thereto
in accordance with the procedure set forth in Section 19 of
Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition with
Amendments), said article being title "Corporations - Municipal",
Section 19 being a sub-heading title "Annexations"; and WHEREAS, the proposal for change was consented to by the
owner of real property located in the area to be annexed, there
being no persons residing in the area to be annexed; and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bowie has determined to
initiate a resolution, based on the aforementioned consent to
enlarge and extend the limits of the City of Bowie to include the
hereinafter described area and to make applicable to that area
all laws of the State of Maryland applicable to the City of Bowie
and all existing charter provisions and ordinances of the City of
Bowie which are now in force or may be hereafter enacted. [Section 5-2 of the Code of Public Laws of Prince George's
County, 1963 Edition and 1967 Supplement, repealed and reenacted,
with amendments. Effective Date June 3, 1982]
CAMBRIDGE (Dorchester County) CHARTER AMENDMENT NO. 100-82-1 RESOLUTION of The Commissioners of Cambridge, Maryland
adopted pursuant to the authority of Art. HE of the Constitution
of Maryland and Sec. 13 of Art. 23A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, 1957 as amended, entitled "Corporations-Municipal" to
amend the Charter of The Commissioners of Cambridge by enacting
new Sec. 3-84 entitled "General Powers" to specifically authorize
the City to exercise any power or perform any function which it
is not prohibited to do. [Section 3-84 of the Charter of the City of Cambridge,
Dorchester County, added. Effective Date November 20, 1982]
