(h) The Chairperson, Maryland Service Corps Advisory
Council
III. TERMS OF OFFICE
Terms of office of the members, other than the
representatives from State Government, shall be for four
years. A person appointed to fill a vacancy in the
membership of the Council shall serve for the remainder of
the term for that position.
IV. STAFF
The Governor's Volunteer Council shall receive staff
assistance from the Executive Department.
V. EFFECTIVE DATE
This Executive Order shall take effect on January 21, 1983.

EXECUTIVE ORDER OF MARCH 9, 1983

GOVERNOR'S VOLUNTEER COUNCIL - AMENDMENTS
WHEREAS, Executive Order 01.01.1983.06, effective on January 21,
1983, created the Governor's Volunteer Council and provided
that the Council consists of thirty members who represent
various business, labor, and non-profit organizations,
volunteers, recipients of volunteer efforts, and State and
local governments; and
WHEREAS, There is a need to expand the membership of the Council
to include State legislators as representatives of State
government;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, HARRY HUGHES, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, BY VIRTUE OF THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME BY THE
CONSTITUTION AND LAWS OF MARYLAND, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM THAT
