EXISTING MASTER PLANS IN ESTABLISHING THE STATE'S FISCAL
OBLIGATION UNDER THIS SUBSECTION. IN ADDITION, THE STATE, UPON
KNOWLEDGE OF THE NEED FOR WATER AND SEWAGE CAPACITY, SHALL
PROVIDE THE APPROPRIATE INFORMATION TO LOCAL JURISDICTIONS AND
THE LOCAL JURISDICTIONS SHALL INCLUDE STATE FACILITY NEEDS IN THE
DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR MASTER PLANS FOR WATER AND SEWAGE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.

(House Bill 1254)
AN ACT concerning
Industrial Lead Standard
FOR the purpose of requiring the Commissioner of Labor and
Industry to adopt, upon recommendations by the Occupational
Safety and Health Advisory Board, industrial lead standards
for apply current industrial lead standards to State all
construction, demolition, and renovation projects in the
State; requiring the Commissioner to adopt lead standards
for construction, demolition, and renovation projects by a
certain date; and relating generally to industrial lead
standards.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

30.
(f) (1) The Commissioner on the basis of research,
demonstrations, and experiments, and any other information
available to him, shall develop criteria dealing with toxic
materials and harmful physical agents and substances which will
describe exposure levels that are safe for various periods of
employment, including but not limited to the exposure levels at
