which no employee will suffer impaired health or functional
capacities or diminished life expectancy as a result of his work
experience.
(2) THE COMMISSIONER SHALL ADOPT, UPON
RECOMMENDATIONS BY THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADVISORY
BOARD, INDUSTRIAL LEAD STANDARDS FOR STATE CONSTRUCTION.
(2) ANY INDUSTRIAL LEAD STANDARDS ADOPTED PRIOR TO
JUNE 30, 1983 SHALL BECOME APPLICABLE TO ALL CONSTRUCTION,
DEMOLITION, AND RENOVATION PROJECTS IN THE STATE ON JULY 1, 1983.
THOSE SECTIONS OF THE INDUSTRIAL LEAD STANDARDS WHICH ARE NOT
FEASIBLE FOR APPLICATION TO CONSTRUCTION, DEMOLITION, AND
RENOVATION PROJECTS MAY BE WAIVED BY THE COMMISSIONER.
(3) THE COMMISSIONER SHALL ADOPT LEAD STANDARDS FOR
CONSTRUCTION, DEMOLITION, AND RENOVATION PROJECTS BY JANUARY 1,
1984. THEREAFTER, THE INDUSTRIAL STANDARDS APPLIED UNDER
PARAGRAPH (2) OF THIS SUBSECTION DO NOT APPLY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.
