architectural and engineering services apply; altering the
amount that a contract must exceed before it is required to
be awarded on a competitive basis and to include certain
proposals; increasing the dollar amount of contracts to
which the subtitle on transportation agency architectural
and engineering services shall apply; and altering the
amount that a contract must exceed before a
truth-in-negotiation certificate is required. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Article 21 - Procurement Section 9-107(a), 9-109(a)(1), and 9-lll(a) Annotated Code of Maryland (1981 Replacement Volume and 1982 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article 21 - Procurement 9-107. (a) This subtitle applies to any transportation agency that
desires to procure architectural or engineering services over
[$25,000] $100,000 $50,000. 9-199- (a) (1) The recommendation of the Transportation Selection
Board for the procurement and award of each contract for
architectural and engineering services costing over [$50,000]
$100,000 shall: (i) Be made on competitive basis; and (ii) Include an evaluation of technical and
price proposals from two or more persons. 9-111. (a) A person may not be awarded under this subtitle any
contract costing over [$25,000] §100,000 $50,000 unless the
person has executed a truth-in-negotiation certificate stating
that wage rates and other factual unit costs supporting the
compensation are accurate, complete, and current as of the time
of contracting.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983. Approved May 31, 1983.
