FROM THE APPLICABLE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND MENTAL HYGIENE
REQUIREMENTS. (b) This section does not require any person licensed to
catch crabs to obtain a license to sell the crabs caught, or
require a license for retail crab sellers who purchase crabs from
a person licensed under this section. [(c) A crab packer's or shipper's license may be obtained
from the Department or the clerk of the circuit court of the
county where the person resides or does business. (d)  (1) Each applicant for a crab packer's or shipper's
license shall complete an application form showing his full name,
social security number, age, and residence and shall certify that
the facts set forth in the completed application form are true
and that he shall submit to the Department every record or other
information the Department requires by rule or regulation. (2) A licensee may renew a crab packer's or shipper's
license by completing the form that the Department provides and
certifying that the; facts set forth in the completed form are true. (e)  The license fee for every person engaged in the
business of picking, canning, packing, or shipping cooked hard or
soft crabs or crab meat, except a person picking and selling crab
meat for local family trade, is $10. The license fee for every
person engaged in the business of commercially buying and
selling, or shipping live hard or soft crabs, is $5. If
application is made to the clerk of the court, every applicant
shall pay 25 cents to the issuing clerk of the court in addition
to the license fee. (f)  Upon receipt of the required fee, the Department or the
court clerk shall give the applicant a duplicate copy of the
application, which serves as a temporary license for 15 days to
pack or ship crabs or, in the case of a renewal license, the
Department or court clerk may issue the license. Within 48 hours
after a court clerk issues the temporary license or renewal
license, the court clerk shall forward the original copy of the
application to the Department. If a license is mailed, it shall
be sent first-class mail. The court clerk shall forward monthly
to the Department the fees received from applicants for deposit
to the credit of the Fisheries Research and Development Fund. (g)  Every crab packer's or shipper's license is valid for
the year it is issued. (h) A person licensed to ship or pack crabs is not required
to procure any further license.] 4-902.
