1854 LAWS OF MARYLAND
AS DESCRIBED IN § 4-1014(A) OF THIS SUBTITLE, IS GUILTY OF A
MISDEMEANOR AND ON CONVICTION IS SUBJECT TO: (1)  FOR A FIRST OFFENSE, A FINE NOT EXCEEDING $250;
AND (2)  FOR ANY SUBSEQUENT OFFENSE, A FINE NOT EXCEEDING
$500 AND REVOCATION OF THE PERSON'S POWER DREDGING LICENSE FOR
THE REMAINDER OF THE POWER DREDGING SEASON.
SECTION 2. AND BE FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety having
been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage. SECTION 3. 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall automatically expire July 1, 1988. SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983. Approved May 31, 1983.
CHAPTER 579 (House Bill 373) AN ACT concerning Fish and Fisheries - Tidal Fish Licenses FOR the purpose of establishing a single license, called a tidal
fish license, for certain activities now separately licensed
under certain provisions of Natural Resources Article, Title
4; establishing a certain license year for a tidal fish
license; establishing certain annual fees, including certain
nonresident fees, a new fee for eel fishing and
modifications of certain existing fees, for activities under
a tidal fish license; establishing a certain surcharge to be
paid by nonresidents obtaining a tidal fish license;
providing for certain waivers of license fees; amending a
certain waiver provision concerning gill net licenses for
persons over 64 years of age; establishing certain
procedures for applications and issuance of tidal fish
licenses; authorizing certain court clerks to process
license applications and charge a certain fee; authorizing
the Department to revoke tidal fish licenses for certain
