1804 LAWS OF MARYLAND
(c)  (1) By personal delivery or by [registered] CERTIFIED
mail, return receipt requested, BEARING A POSTMARK FROM THE
UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE, the sanitary commission shall give
notice of its intention to buy the system to each person named in
the verified statement provided under subsection (b) of this
section. Article - Health - General 9-622. (b)  (1) If the court finds that there are reasonable
grounds to believe that the individual for whom commitment is
sought under Part III of this subtitle is a drug addict, the
court shall order the individual to appear before the court. (2)  The order shall state that the individual is to
appear before the court for a determination whether there are
reasonable grounds to order the individual to have a medical
examination. The order shall state the time at which the
individual is to appear. (3)  The court: (i) Shall direct that the order and petition be
served on the alleged drug addict personally or by [registered
mail] CERTIFIED MAIL, RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED , BEARING A
POSTMARK FROM THE UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE; and (ii) May direct that the order and petition be
served on the petitioner personally or by mail. 20-103. (d)  The postal receipt that shows an article of mail was
sent by [registered mail] CERTIFIED MAIL, RETURN RECEIPT
REQUESTED, BEARING A POSTMARK FROM THE UNITED STATES POSTAL
SERVICE, to the last known address of a parent or guardian and
that is attached to a copy of the notice letter that was sent in
that article of mail shall be conclusive evidence of notice or a
reasonable effort to give notice, as the case may be. Article - Health Occupations 4-317. (c)  At least 10 days before the hearing, the  hearing notice
and a copy of the complaint required by § 4-315 of   this subtitle
shall be served on the individual by delivery to   the last known
business and home addresses of the individual by: (1)  Hand delivery; or (2)   [Registered] CERTIFIED mail, return receipt
requested BEARING A POSTMARK FROM THE UNITED STATES POSTAL
SERVICE.
