5-309.
(a) (1) As soon as practicable after a hearing on a protest
against a rule or regulation under § 5-308 of this subtitle, the
Secretary shall:
(i) Act on the protest by issuing an order; and
(ii) Send a copy of the order to each protester
by [registered] CERTIFIED mail, RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED ,
BEARING A POSTMARK FROM THE UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE.
7-260.
(a) Any complaint, corrective order, notice, or other
instrument issued by the Department under this subtitle may be
served on the person to whom it is directed:
(1) Personally;
(2) By publication; or
(3) By [registered] CERTIFIED mail, RETURN RECEIPT
REQUESTED, BEARING A POSTMARK FROM THE UNITED STATES POSTAL
SERVICE, to the last known address as shown on the Department's
records.
(b) If service is made by [registered] CERTIFIED mail,
RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED, BEARING A POSTMARK FROM THE UNITED
STATES POSTAL SERVICE, the person who mails the document shall
file with the Department verified proof of mailing.
9-336.
