CHAPTER 31 (House Bill 517) AN ACT concerning Queen Anne's County - Fire Companies FOR the purpose of altering the amount of money paid by the
County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County to volunteer
fire companies; providing that any volunteer fire company
operating an ambulance service shall receive a certain
additional amount of money; providing that the Queen
Anne-Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Company shall receive a
certain sum if it operates an ambulance service; and
generally relating to certain amounts paid by the County
Commissioners of Queen Anne's County to certain volunteer
fire companies. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, The Public Local Laws of Queen Anne's County
Section 12-1 Article 18 - Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1974 Edition, as amended)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article 18 - Queen Anne's County 12-1. The County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County are
authorized and directed to pay annually, on or before the 1st day
of October of each year, the sum of [three thousand, five hundred
dollars ($3,500)] $17,500 to each of the following named
volunteer fire companies: Goodwill Fire Company, Incorporated;
The Sudlersville Fire Company, Incorporated; Church Hill Fire
Company, Incorporated; The Queenstown Volunteer Fire Company;
Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., Grasonville
Volunteer Fire Company, Inc., The Crumpton Volunteer Fire
Company, Incorporated, and the United Communities Volunteer Fire
Department, Incorporated, and the sum of [one thousand seven
hundred fifty dollars ($1,750)] $5,850 to Queen Anne-Hillsboro
Volunteer Fire Company, Incorporated, for the purchase,
improvement, maintenance and operation of fire apparatus and fire
equipment for the said volunteer fire companies. EACH VOLUNTEER
