(B) NOTICE OF THE LIEN SHALL BE FILED BY THE AGENCY WITH
THE CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT COURT OF THE COUNTY OR BALTIMORE CITY IN
WHICH THE PROPERTY IS LOCATED AND A COPY OF THE NOTICE OF THE
LIEN SHALL BE MAILED TO THE BUSINESS ADDRESS OF THE LICENSED
LOTTERY SALES AGENT. EACH CLERK OF COURT SHALL ACCURATELY AND
PROMPTLY RECORD THE LIEN IN THE JUDGMENT DOCKET OF THE COURT BY
STATING THE NAME OF THE DELINQUENT AGENT AND THE AMOUNT AND DATE
OF THE LIEN.
(C) THE LICENSED LOTTERY SALES AGENT MAY, WITHIN 30 DAYS OF
THE FILING OF THE LIEN, PETITION THE COURT FOR A HEARING TO
DETERMINE THE AMOUNT, IF ANY, OWED TO THE AGENCY.
(C) (D) THE LIEN CREATED UNDER THIS SECTION SHALL HAVE THE
SAME FULL FORCE AND EFFECT AS A LIEN OF JUDGMENT. HOWEVER, A
LIEN ON PERSONAL PROPERTY SHALL NOT BE EFFECTIVE AS AGAINST AN
INNOCENT PURCHASER FOR VALUE UNLESS THE PERSONAL PROPERTY HAS
BEEN LEVIED UPON BY AN OFFICER OF A COURT.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.

CHAPTER 534
(Senate Bill 448)
AN ACT concerning
Washington County - Licenses
FOR the purpose of prohibiting the issuance or renewal of a
license or permit in Washington County until certain
certifications have been made that all taxes due the County
and certain municipal corporations have been paid; and
providing that the Washington County Commissioners may waive
this Act under certain circumstances.
