IN WASHINGTON COUNTY, A COUNTY LICENSE OR PERMIT MAY NOT BE
ISSUED OR RENEWED UNTIL THE WASHINGTON COUNTY TREASURER AND ANY
MUNICIPAL CORPORATION IN WASHINGTON COUNTY IN WHICH THE APPLICANT
DOES BUSINESS CERTIFY THAT THERE ARE NO UNPAID DELINQUENT TAXES
DUE FROM THE APPLICANT TO THE COUNTY OR MUNICIPAL CORPORATION.
THE WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, BY MAJORITY VOTE, MAY WAIVE
THIS REQUIREMENT.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.

(Senate Bill 492)
AN ACT concerning
Credit Card Offenses
FOR the purpose of providing that a continuing course of conduct
in violation of this Act may be considered as a single
credit card offense; and providing that the value of the
money, goods, or services obtained as a result of a
continuing course of conduct may be aggregated in
determining if the offense is a felony or misdemeanor.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments
145.
(a) For the purposes of this section:
(1) "Cardholder" means the person or organization
named on the face of a credit card to whom or for whose benefit
the credit card is issued by an issuer.
